    Homebody QAL & Donate: Closing

Congratulations on finishing your Homebody Quilt top for a treasured child! It is my hope and prayer that your heart is overflowing with an inexpressible joy. Creating quilts for others, in and of itself, is fulfilling. Add to the mix, donating to a children's charity, and this joy multiplies beyond our greatest expectations! Homebody QAL & Donate: Week 6

We made it! We've made it to the very last week of the Homebody QAL & Donate. Welcome to Week 6! Hopefully you had no problem getting you Flying Geese blocks constructed. And I'm also hoping you found them quite enjoyable as well. Now all we have to do is put all the blocks together. If you'll notice on the pattern, the four corner blocks all face in the same direction and the center block is opposite of the corners. Just a little reminder to notice that directional detail. I

Homebody QAL & Donate: Week 5

We are getting so close to finishing our quilts now! How exciting is that? Welcome to Week 5. I hope everyone enjoyed making your Cat's Cradle blocks. Aren't they a joy with their generous size? You're on a role making them and at the end of only 5 blocks, you've covered some ground! If you thought those came together quickly, just wait until this week making your Flying Geese Blocks! They're even faster. We are so close, my quilty friends! Again, this next block is as simple

Homebody QAL & Donate: Week 4

Welcome back to Week 4! Now is when the fun begins. This week, we will be bringing together all the HSTs to make the Cat's Cradle blocks. You only need to make (5) blocks total. With their generous size, you'll have all of them completed in no time. The assembly of the quilt picks up at this point and the end is very near! The Cat's Cradle block is pretty straight forward. You'll make (6) HST units for each block. To assemble, it's a classic three row block. That's it! As alw

Homebody QAL & Donate: Week 3

We are moving right along! I love Mondays as we begin new weeks and move one step closer to our finished quilt. Now that we've chosen our fabrics, sewn our HSTs, and trimmed them, it's time to settle into the flying geese. This week will move a bit faster for there are not as many flying geese as there were HSTs. Here is a view of all my HSTs hanging out in a basket until further instruction. As you begin the flying geese, you'll notice the instructions walk you through makin

Homebody QAL & Donate: Week 2

Welcome to week 2 of the Homebody QAL & Donate! It's been fun seeing all the fabrics chosen this week. Great job everyone! Now that you have decided on fabrics and cut everything, it's time to get to sewing! Make sure to stay organized especially with the particular pattern having two versions. Remember the scrappy version has notes in separate boxes. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me should you run into any questions or find any part confusing. I'm here to help you in
