Week 1...Make A Decision

You did it.

You decided to join.

You made the decision to give up some time and even some expenses...

To bless a sick child.

I promise...you won't regret this decision.

The goal of any QAL is for a community of quilters to enjoy making quilts together.

I want no one to become stressed over this.

So I'm offering two schedules in which you can follow.

Sometimes I enjoy making one step at a time;

Other times I'd rather make one block at a time.

These two schedules allow for you to make that choice as well.

QAL Schedule

Schedule 1:

Week 1: Pick out fabric and follow all cutting instructions.

Week 2: Make all the HSTs.

Week 3: Assemble the (9) blocks.

Week 4: Complete the rows to complete the quilt top.

Schedule 2:

Week 1: Pick out fabric and follow all cutting instructions.

Week 2: Make (5) blocks.

Week 3: Make (4) blocks.

Week 4: Complete the rows to complete the quilt top.

Deciding on Fabrics

As you make your fabric decision, think about a child.

These quilts will be available for all ages...from birth to 22 year olds.

Keep this in mind as you make your decision.

Is it a boy?

Is it a girl?

Will it be neutral?

Are they a baby?

A school age child?

A teen?

SPECIAL NOTES FROM QUILTS FOR KIDS:

Please use NEW 100% cotton fabric.

A HIGH QUALITY flannel is acceptable.

I decided to go all boy this time around.

I'm using a combination of Art Gallery Fabrics for the blocks,

AGF Smooth Pebble for the crosses,

And AGF Chocolate for the background.

Good luck!

Closing

I've decided that this is the best group of quilters.

You have heart.

You have love.

You have grace.

You are a blessing.

Much love to each of you,

Beth Ann
