Quilts, Coffee, and Jazz

Quilting in my home is at its best when accompanied by strong coffee and amazing jazz.  Here you will find some of my favorite combos!

Cold Coffee

City of Stars

As you begin your journey making the City of Stars Quilt, I suggest an Iced Peppermint Mocha with some Nat "King" Cole singing "Stardust."

Enjoy!

Mini Star Quilt

A petite 14" x 14" mini. Make your quilting experience more enjoyable with these suggestions: A Classic Espresso and "Isn't This A Lovely Day" sung by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.

Enjoy!

Dutch Rose Mini Quilt

The Dutch Rose Mini is a fun, quick project.  To enjoy the process even more, my suggestions are: Iced Vanilla Latte and "You Make Me Feel So Young" sung by Frank Sinatra.

Enjoy!

Southwestern Wall Hanging

A 28" x 28" wall hanging influenced by the Native American arts of the southwest. I suggest a Mexican Coffee coupled with "The Very Thought of You" sung by Nat King Cole.

Enjoy!

Fairy Garden Quilt

The Fairy Garden Quilt is a fat quarter friendly quilt with three size options. In order to enjoy the quilt making process a bit more, try adding a Cold Brew with a splash of cream and "I'll Be Seeing You" sung by Billie Holiday!

Enjoy!

Valle Crucis Quilt

The first of many QAL & Donate patterns! This quilt makes a great Quilts for Kids, Inc. donation and comes together quickly because of it's simple HST design. I suggest working with the "Hymn to Freedom" by the Oscar Peterson Trio playing in the background and enjoying a classic cappuccino.

Enjoy!

Homebody
Quilt

This quilt calls you home with it's simple and cozy style and offers two options: Modern and Scrappy. The generous size makes a lovely throw perfect for those cozy days spent at home. It comes together quickly so that you can enjoy it in no time at all. Couple it with a Nitro Cold Brew with Sweet Cream and "The Home Fire" sung by Louis Armstrong quietly filling the air.

Enjoy!

Quilt Ornaments

We all love a homemade Christmas gift or decoration. Quilt ornaments are meant to share or keep for your own home. As you create you own, I suggest a Peppermint Mocha and a little Nat King Cole filling the air with "The Christmas Song."

Enjoy!

Movie Night Quilt

Just like a movie comes together in pieces and the making of a movie seems chaotic, in the end is a beautiful masterpiece. Similarly, the Movie Night Quilt has odd curves and angles but creates a quilt of symmetry of order. To move you along, I suggest a Decaf Vanilla Latte with Dooley Wilson singing in the background his famous "As Time Goes By."

Enjoy!

Jewelry Box Quilt

A perfect quilt for a Quilts for Kids donation. This quilt comes together quickly and opens itself up to variety of looks just by a simple change in color. Let's throw in an Iced Raspberry Mocha and a little Glen Miller singing "String of Pearls" to get you in the mood.

Rose Gold Mini Quilt

Everyone enjoys a little bling from time to time. This mini quilt will be sure to make you think of rose gold with its mesh of four different pink fabrics. Let's have Louis sing us a little "La Vie en Rose" while we work.

Enjoy!

Christmas Tree Placemats

Let's add some rustic trees mixed in with a classic quilt style to our Christmas table this year. Nothing is more exciting than sitting at a holiday table with something you made to dress up the occasion. At your seat place a Salted Caramel Cold Brew and turn up the Vince Guaraldi Trio with "Christmas Time is Here."

Enjoy!
